About this converter

Editable text, ready to revise

Choose a PDF containing selectable text and download a genuine DOCX file. Text is extracted in page order, with available line breaks and approximate type sizes. The result opens in Word, LibreOffice and other DOCX editors. Your original PDF stays unchanged and no file is uploaded.

Check the result before sharing

PDFs describe where marks appear on a page, rather than how a Word document is structured. Columns, tables and unusual reading orders can need manual cleanup. Images, form fields, links and scanned pages are not carried into the editable document. For an exact picture of each page, use PDF to JPG instead.

PDF to DOCX: common questions

Will the layout stay the same?

No. This converter extracts editable text and page breaks. Columns, tables, images and original fonts are not reproduced exactly. Review the DOCX before sharing it.

Can it convert a scanned PDF?

It does not run OCR. Image-only PDFs show an explanation instead of producing an empty document. In mixed PDFs, only pages with existing text contribute editable words.

Do I need Microsoft Word installed?

No. Conversion happens in your browser. Open the downloaded DOCX in Word, LibreOffice, Google Docs or another compatible editor.

Are files uploaded?

No. Your browser reads the PDF and creates the DOCX locally. Keep the page open until the download is ready.
