How to convert PNG to PDF

Built for screenshots and scans

PNG is what a screenshot tool and most scanner apps produce, and a folder of them is awkward to send. One PDF is easier to attach, easier to read in sequence, and easier for the person on the other end to print.

Transparency becomes white

This converter places transparent PNG pixels on a white background before writing the PDF. That matches what you would see if you printed the image, and it avoids the black boxes you get from tools that skip this step.

PNG to PDF: common questions

Will my screenshots stay sharp?

Each page is written at the pixel dimensions of the source image, so a screenshot appears at its native size with no downscaling. Images are encoded as high-quality JPEG inside the PDF, so fine text may soften slightly. The output is not a lossless copy of the PNG.

Can I put several images on one page?

Not in this tool: one image becomes one page, which keeps the result predictable. For a contact sheet layout, arrange the images in a document editor and export a PDF there.

Does it work offline?

The file processing happens locally. Keep your connection until the conversion code has loaded; first use may need to fetch it. Your images are not uploaded.

Can I reorder pages after adding files?

Yes. Drag any thumbnail in the list to move it, or remove a file with the button on its row. The order shown is the order of the pages in the PDF.
